So far i've only shot about 80 rounds through mine. I'm getting about 1 moa 5 shot groups and i got a 1. 9 inch 10 round group at 100 yards. All done off a bipod with a rear bag on a fairly windy day. It's on an aero lower with a hyperfire trigger (about 2 lbs). I'm hoping it will settle down a bit and be a little bit more accurate.
That said, most of us on this forum are chasing the diminishing returns of custom rifles, but i don't think that's a fair comparison. Because they make cheap ar parts and have a reputation of poor qc. And that should make you skeptical as to how they made the action cheaper. But the aero precision receiver sets are a great buy in my opinion. As someone said, they're hard to beat unless you go with a billet match set. I'm really happy with the receiver set i got. I got the freedom receiver set so it was more expensive than the regular set. But i knew i was going to spend a lot on the 18 build anyway. I also built an aero precision m5 in 308 win. Originally i had a ballistic advantage premium series bull barrel on it, but i struggled to get it to shoot 1 moa. Ended up sending it back twice for headspace issues and ultimately switched over to a. I recently put together an aero precision m5e1 chambered in. 308 win. Arc mags, and magpul aics been great, even with 243ai shoulders. I really can't find a con to the action. I do wish the stock folded. I am about to build my m5. I bought the aero nitrided bolt and a prs stock. This is all about precision not banging 100 yard gongs. Is there an issue gassing for a 6. 5? Does it feed 6. 5 ammo like elds and mks well? What 'adjustable' gas block is best for the. I bought an upper that was advertised with an aero precision barrel. After receiving it, i have doubts.
